Alan studied art in London at the Willesden and Hornsey Art Colleges, where he received a formal art training with an emphasis on drawing and design.

His paintings are designed from sketches and drawings which endeavour to capture the nature and spirit of the subject to his own pictorial design.

Aquarelle Publishing has recently published a collection of eight limited edition prints and Alan's paintings are always available at the Montpellier Gallery in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire.

Over the last two years he has had virtual sell-out exhibitions at the Montpellier and Catto galleries, and has undertaken numerous commissions.
